    Mornings when the ocean of mist stretches on forev Mornings when the ocean of mist stretches on forever.... Mountains become islands rising above a soft blanket of mist-ery. As the sun begins to bare down, the mystery that the mist shrouds, disappears like awakening to an illusion, to a dream, and facing the harsh light of day. Is this magical cloak, that sounds like 'missed', called as such, as with the breaking of day, the magic and enchantment of the night is followed by a morning, a mourning for a world that lies in our dreams, that our soul has deeply missed. Words are spells. They contain magic and meaning. Each word, like the creation of the world, began with a word, a sound, a vibration. Each thought we entertain, our beliefs, each word we speak, decision we make, takes us on a journey. Words conjour our world into being. What words do you speak?     Yesterday morning while driving along Main Western Yesterday morning while driving along Main Western Rd on Tamborine Mountain, I has a momentary glimpse of a yowie on the edge of the treeline lurking in the shadows. This morning, I went for a walk to see if I was lucky enough to get another glimpse. I didn't see him. But on the return I spotted him on the edge of the bush, in the shadows. I managed to take a couple of pics. I asked him to smile for the closeup portrait, but he didn't like his photograph being taken. The photographic documentary evidence capturing the existence of these cryptic creatures has always been scant, some would say, sketchy at best. Eye witnesses post blurry images of shadows in the bushes, that frankly look like shadows in bushes. Here is documentary proof of their existence. Coincidentally, this weekend is the annual Scarecrow Trail up here on the mountain. If you are lucky you too may get a glimpse of the local yowie and his scary friends. Make sure to drive carefully, as the boys in blue scarecrow is on patrol with his speed camera along Main Street.
